Why this exists

Pre-existing coffee roaster directories on the web either (a) hide their data behind a $30/month "claim your listing" upsell so contractors and buyers can't actually see contact info, or (b) live inside no-export website builders that won't let anyone re-use the data they painstakingly assembled.

Both approaches treat the directory as a moat. We don't think it should be. Roaster contact information helps customers find roasters, helps other roasters trade green coffee and equipment, and helps researchers track an interesting industry. Keeping it locked up has costs and no real benefits.

How RoastLists works

• Listings are free, forever. If you run a roastery, add yours. We won't charge you to be visible.
• Every contact detail we have is shown. Name, address, phone, email, website, social profiles — all on the page, no signup required.
• The data is exportable. A monthly CSV of the whole directory is available. A free read-only API is coming soon.
• Supported by ads, not by the people we list. A small number of Google AdSense slots cover hosting + occasional data work.

Where does the data come from?

We seed listings from public web crawls of roaster websites and trade-association directories, then validate the data by fetching each roaster's site directly and pulling whatever they publish on their own about page. We do not scrape directories that explicitly forbid it.

Information about a specific roaster wrong, out of date, or missing? Open the listing and click Suggest an edit. We'll review it within a few days.

Coverage today

• 1,029 roasters across all 50 US states + DC.
• 170 roasters across Canada's 13 provinces and territories.
• Every record has a name, country, state, and website URL. About 1 in 5 records also has a verified phone, email, address, and ZIP/postal code — and we're actively closing that gap.
